The artist Keith Haring made his name in New York. He began with chalk drawings in the subways and gravitated to murals, political posters and T-shirts. His barking dogs, flying saucers and winged creatures were his recognizable images. A new musical opening at the Public Theater called "Radiant Baby" tells the story of the young man from rural Pennsylvania. WNYC's Judith Kampfner reports.
